We are slowly switching out the light fixtures in our house for ones that do not look like crystal salad bowls. In the front hall, the existing light was especially lovely as it was accumulating dead flies that were visible through the glass.
I have a quirk that I think all light fixtures as too expensive, I’m not sure why but I am hesitant to pay even $60 for a fixture. While doing my weekly browsing of the home improvement store flyers, I noticed a nice looking fixture on sale that included 2 CFL bulbs. With those factored into the cost, even I thought it was a good price, so I picked one up.
Installing it was no problem and it looks pretty good in the space. It’s funny cause the bulbs take a while to get to full brightness so it starts out dim and then slowly gets really strong.
And now we know: one thing fixed creates another problem, the new light draws attention to a crack in the ceiling that I am now going to have to fix!
